Thank you to those members who were able to attend our meeting this week for the AGM.  Also a big thank you to those who have volunteered for the 2019/2020 Board. It is a huge commitment to undertake and both Doug and I really appreciate your ongoing interest in ensuring we have a vibrant Club in the year ahead.

We are looking forward to the barbecue at Manly Dam on Tuesday 29 next where we will have the opportunity to talk to other Northern Beaches clubs and to our District Governor who will be in attendance. It will also give us a chance to discuss the possibility of going ahead with the purchase of a bus for PCYC. We already have a Grant approved for $3000 and our Club will match this amount, so we are looking for contributions from other Clubs in our area. The purchase of the bus will not only be of enormous help to the PCYC but also a great opportunity for the Northern Beaches to promote our Clubs with advertising on the bus.

Regarding our Membership Drive event on 12 March, could you please give some thought during the week about any business in the area you may be able to invite to the function.  We will raise this as an agenda item at our next meeting on 29 January so that we can make a list of possible businesses (and to ensure we are not inviting the same business twice). A flyer advertising the event will be printed and distributed to Club members. thank you in advance for your support of this important function.

I hope everyone has a great week - warm regards, Susie

All members are asked to attend this function if at all possible and to bring at least one guest who may be interested in joining the Club. Our PR committee will advertise the function on social media.  Each club member is also asked to invite a local business representative to the function. An invitation will also be given to the charities we have supported in the past.  Possible guest speakers will be James Griffin, Candy Bingham, Nick Farr-Jones, Lynne Shori, Jason Kioko (previously from Pioneer Club House).
