KEY ACTIVITY – MARTIN THOMAS – NUCLEAR ENERGY
For the second time Martin has given a presentation to the club on Nuclear Energy and it was hoped this presentation, unlike the first would be supported by video.  Alas the tech boffins were unable to master the system, with the exception of Ken, but all too late for Martin.
In very lay terms Martin explained how Australia was at the forefront of Nuclear research in the world and how we as a nation could be benefiting from this research.  Lack of political will was stifling any further development of Australia having Nuclear as an alternative energy source and Martin demonstrated if this were to change the benefits to the science in Australia would be amazing.
He acknowledges that there are opposite points of view to his and presents his case in a wonderfully articulated manner.  If it were not for our Sgt at Arms for the day he could have spoken for much longer.
SERGEANT’S SESSION
Ted Waters enjoys this session and the opportunity to fleece all members.  To do so without offending is an art that Ted has perfected, but we are not sure how many Christmas cards he actually receives!
